I think this basketball system is ideal for up to around the ages of 10 or eleven, the manufacturer suggested age group is 4 to 7, but depending on the height of your child up to 11 years of age.  After that it might become too short and not operate quite as well.  Even though I say this, if you have young kids this system can be a great thing to help your kids get outside and play and get some exercise.

Pros

I think my favorite thing about this basketball system is that’s it pretty portable, with the wheels it makes it pretty transportable.

When we received the system we were surprised at how quickly it came together, we had it together in less than an hour between my husband and I.  I was impressed with how sturdy and the quality of the product. We filled our Lifetime Youth Portable Basketball System with water because we didn’t have 10 gallons of sand and it works just fine.  I recommend using water because it’s also easy to dispose of if you are moving and need to pack the Youth Portable Basketball System up to take with you when you move across town or across the country, this system is sturdy and rugged yet saves you on the hassle of a permanent installation as well as the cost.

Cons

One thing though, depending on the size of your kids I wouldn’t recommend encouraging your kid’s to dunk when they are playing basketball with this hoop as it could tip over and while the height options are great depending on how quickly our child grows you could out grow this system.
